Andalus was created by Michaela in the year 2000 to serve the growing Muslim community in the Pacific Northwest. As a Washingtonian and convert to Islam, Michaela saw a need to address the delta between the mandate of Islam to dress modestly and women's needs to blend into American society while still maintaining a strong Muslim identity. This need in the community and Michaela's drive and creative energy started Andalus.Andalus offers a wide array of scarves, pashminas, and "hijab" accessories as well. You don't have to be a Muslim woman to enjoy scarves! Andalus also sells handmade jewelry by local Seattle artists.
