Supervised vistation is a way for non-custodial parents to spend time with their child in the presence of a neutral party observer. This may be necessary for a parent who is just getting to know his or her child or when there are other concerns that make it difficult for the non-custodial parent to visit the children. Supervised exchanges are very helpful when families are under protection orders or there are concerns about children witnessing conflict between parents.
