The McCann Twins aka Don and Dan McCann are two identical twin brother retirees who first appeared in a spot for US by Consumer Cellular phone company in 2009. At this time UCC had just partnered with AARP. With this relationship the company focused on marketing to the older generation, a consumer base not before targeted in the cell phone industry. When the commercial first ran much interest was sparked regarding who the McCann Twins were and exactly what was their claim to fame as the manner in which they presented appeared to indicate that they were celebrities of a sort. Although the two brothers were actually portrayed by an individual actor, Ron Maestri, numerous blogs and chatroom discussions center around the validity of the circumstance. The McCann Twins appeared in two US Cellular TV spots. The first called "Don & Dan McCann Chat" aired in 2009, and featured a real time cell phone to land line discussion between the two brothers..... The second, "Tarmac" took place on an airplane and featured conversations among passengers of various ages. This time in order to reach a larger consumer range....
