Recording studio specializing in Bluegrass and other forms of acoustic music
The new studio is now complete. I now have a 20 by 34 log building to record out of.I have also upgraded my Recording equipment.I now have custom built mic pre's designed for acoustic music,as well as a Roland 2480 recorder. The new studio has enabled me to record much of the group live while still maintaining a high degree of track separation.I do most of my recording using a combination of condensors as well as ribbon mics,I have found that they are the truest mics to correctly capture the sound of acoustic instruments.As a bluegrass musician myself ,I have a true understanding of what the instruments sound like.I have been involved in the production side of Bluegrass for many years,both in the live sound arena as well as a recording engineer.
