In 2000, owner Doug Steeves looked to carve out an exclusive niche in the golf market of Illinois by installing artificial putting greens and practice areas and created Custom Greens, Inc. After just a few years and many significant advancement in turf technology, Custom Greens, Inc. became Synthetic Turf of Illinois in 2004. Doug comes from a landscape and golf background and has the knowledge and skill it takes to design and build everything from a complete commercial golf practice facility down to the small dog run.
