The teaching I do is done with lots of patience working on vocal ability, technique, scales and exercises that encompass the total range. It is a classical foundation but I am not saying one has to be an Opera singer, that is up to the student. A solid foundation is the key to a performer. Most female students if not all, once they sung an Operatic aria they want to sing many more. The arias are challenging and yummy for the voice. All my students must sing in foreign languages, simple or difficult pieces. I do work hard on helping with the pronunciation especially here in TX where the English language is a bit different, so students will pronounce terms in the correct way, that is a must.
