ECOJAY is a small US based company that designs and manufactures heating and cooling zone control systems. Basically, these "zone controls" are electronic panels that allow the control of multiple thermostats for a single home or building. This allows the occupant to set temperatures for and even turn off airflow to different areas or "zones." Zoning systems can range from 2 zones (example: upstairs & downstairs) all the way up to 33 zones (typically for commercial applications). Most popular is the Ecojay SmartZone-4X which has 4 zones built in, AND can be connected to a second SmartZone-4X to create up to 8 total zones.
