Yarnworks is owned and operated by Diane Lievsay. Diane opened the store in April 2002, shortly after moving to the area and seeing the need for a full-service yarn shop carrying quality yarns. Yarnworks began operation on the 3rd floor of historic Old Central School in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, Minnesota. In 2005, Diane’s family moved out of the area, so Yarnworks was sold. Diane was able to purchase Yarnworks again in September of 2012.
