Business descriptionEdit
Handmade hand crafted All American made Longboard Skate boards with true '70s style boards but with current technology and the smoothest rides.

Around 40 years ago, in the late 60's early 70's just like every kid back then I build my first skate board out of a piece of plywood, it wasn't pretty but I nailed some trucks on the bottom with my ceramic(clay)or the Steel wheels and I was off. Soon after I started making my boards longer and longer. The ply wood was out and a solid piece of pine took its place. It was easy to shape and sand smooth but it didn't have any flex and it was hard on the feet. I spent a lot of time on the Beach in Santa Cruz while growing up, watching the Big wave surfers and reading Surfer Magazines I grew up loving the waves but grew up in the Valley. So I build bigger and smoother board out of plywood, sanded and rounded the edges added some groovy designs on top and did my own surfing, on the sidewalk. As time passed and life changed as well as styles one thing never changed, my long lost love of sidewalk surfing. Long smooth boards, soft fat wheels and the boards look like big wave surf boards. Some 40yrs later, here I am making those boards all over again. The love and craftsmanship is still embedded deep in each board I build I start off with multiple layers of thin veneer, glued and vacuum pressed. An inlay stripe distinguishes each board with its own style. Side Up Longboards is constantly creating and developing NEW advanced riding styles and designs. Pictured here are two of our Big Boards The Red Rocker which is our 6'6"x 15" wide deck and the Ghost 6'1"x 15" with a Finn tail. In Development is an ALL NEW 6'2"x14" with a Pinn nose and a Finn tail we will be featuring it here in the weeks to come. All our boards will not break the bank and they are well worth the small amount for the life of enjoyment you and your family will have on any of our boards. We are always told we don't charge enough for the boards for the High quality your get out of each Hand Crafted Hand Made Side Up Longboard. Need I say more? If you have any questions about Color, Stripe preference or a Corporate logo boards we do that too!! Check us out at www.sideuplongboards.com
