Within the next few years a percentage of new construction will be required to install renewal energy. Existing government facilities are required to be "Green" in the future.Utilizing Renewable energies will produce more jobs in the manufacturing industry, the technical industry, ultimately reduce the existing carbon in our atmosphere, slow global warming, increase the longevity of our planet and protect our earth through green technology. I read an article about a city that implemented programs for apartments and homes that allow residents to be able to afford renewable energy through low cost loans. These low-cost loans enable families, the elderly and disabled to heat cool and produce electricity for their home or apartment that otherwise would be cost prohibitive. In many states, excess electricity can be sold to the local utility. Those cities are praised for their deployment of renewable energy sources. They should be praised. Assistance programs through low-cost loans are a must going forward. There should be tax incentives for utilizing renewable energy. I have been researching renewable energies over 15 years and trying to find ways and means to find the right products and make them available and affordable to those who need them most.The best time to start was 50 plus years ago. The next best time is NOW. No family or individual should have to choose heat over food or medical care. Learned lessons from Hurricanes, ice storms, snow storms, and blackouts: Redundancy should have been in place. Instead, many residents & businesses were at the mercy of Commercial Utilities. This in turn translates to rate increases, cut off’s because of billing errors, higher consumer costs to get “their” grid back on-line and leaving “their” customers in the dark, (literally), and making customers wait for the services they paid for. Let’s make a difference. From a view of our universe looking toward our mother earth a new perspective can be attained. Viewing humanity not as individuals but rather a species whose brief moments through the hands of time occupy a planet known as earth. In the greater scheme of universal things our species will be viewed by what we have left behind through our existence.
