In the structural engineering field, we provide forensic structural engineering services to analyze and determine structural problems, design repairs for residential and commercial bldgs. Many times, we follow behind a home or bldg inspection to resolve strutural problems which have been discovered by others who do not have the technical expertise or experience to determine the problem and design the necessary repairs. We inspect footers and foundations, joists and trusses, walls, ceilings, and roofs to analyze the construction techniques and design the approriate repairs. We provide a SUMMARY LETTER which documents the findings of our review, and provides two estimates of how to repair the problem. In some cases, we also perform the repair work, depending on the scope of work
