After having our child in her care for a few years, a single unfortunate event led us to uncover some disturbing issues. It came out that she yells at the kids when she doesn't feel they "behave". It also came up that she is often in different rooms then the kids she is babysitting, all throughout the day (this was discovered through the unfortunate incident where she wasn't present - but apparently monitors from the kitchen, which is impossible to see into the living room). And worst of all, threatened our child. When questioned about her actions she became loud, aggressive, insulting, she began yelling at us and repeatedly told us that she "doesn't have to listen because she's been doing this for too damn long". Add in a few ridiculous profanities from her, and then she hung up on us. Only to later call us back, yell at us some more, change her story of the event that preceded earlier, and still tell us she's been doing this too damn long. We tried several times throughout the conversations to explain our understanding of the incident and to garner more information from her, but she became very uneasy when questioned about threatening our child, and what was actually said and done. Once we told her we wouldn't not tolerate her behavior and how embarrassing and downright disturbing it was, she again threw some profanities at us, and then came the second time she hung up on us. The combination was the final straw. She'll also share protected information with you about the kids she babysits (psychiatrist recommendations, etc.) despite our constant reminding her that we were not privileged to that information and it should remain private. We lost every ounce of respect for her the moment she crossed the line between being an adult and service provider, and threatening our child. She never even apologized to our child, checked on our child's state or gave any sort of explanation for her actions. Doesn't matter now. We're done with her. After seeing and hearing how she treats the kids, and the way she responded when questioned about it, we'll never trust her again. Stay away from her care. You'll be grateful when you don't have the issues we had. So many reputable and quality care providers in the same area, it's worth your time to skip this one.
