The Fox has trails, displays, a children's area, gift shop, but our organization is more than a place to "drop-in." Members and volunteers are pledged to a significant job: Our mission.The Gertrude B. Fox Environmental Center is committed to environmental action and education in the City of Bethlehem and Monocacy Creek watershed. We tackle pressing environmental problems including flooding, erosion, wetland destruction, pollution, climate change, invasive species, and loss of biodiversity. While caring for the historic mill we adaptively restored, our work at the center fosters creative environmental education, long-term research projects, best management practices, and hands-on restoration to protect natural resources in our rural, suburban, and urban communities. This is who we are.
