It has always been our vision to be a place where anyone can bring any amount of scrap, and get competitive prices for their decision to protect the environment.Our goal starting out was to have a yard where our grandparents would be comfortable selling their scrap. We know that scrap yards can sometimes be intimidating places, but with our customer-centric approach to doing business we hope to change that stigma.Moving forward we aspire to be the largest, most effiecient scrap facility in central Texas. A large part of this is reducing wait times for our patrons. From having on demand container service to having dedicated scales for our commercial partners, we are here to make your business more profitable and less of a headache in getting rid of unwanted or unused scrap materials.John Dobelbower founded Green Option Recycling, after having a minority ownership interest in another scrap facility. John saw the value that scrap metal facilities can bring into the community. His efforts in starting Green Option were three fold:1. Always leave the planet in better shape for future generations.2. Employ as many hardworking people as possible to help provide for their families and for the community as a whole.3.
