Business description
Enjoy fine hand-crafted wines in our replica 18th Century post and beam cape cod winery.
Even though Greene Eagle Winery has been in existence since 2009 many people still do not know such a treasure exists in Trumbull County. This family owned business gains new patrons each week as they find the winery nestled in the fields of northern Trumbull County. If you’ve been searching for class and serenity in a quaint country setting, you’ve found it!It has been described as cozy, comfortable and homey. The winery has a colonial feel, like an old tavern, with open beam construction, an open loft and giant floor to ceiling fireplace. In the summer months an outside deck and fire pit provide plenty of seating to enjoy good food and good wine as you take in natures best atmosphere while watching deer graze in the fields and vineyards nearby. In the winter months yellow flames snap in an open hearth as the fire plays a crackling sonnet. Inside candles flicker softly and the aroma of pine fills the air. These are but a few of the experiences you will enjoy at Greene Eagle. The Greene Eagle menu provides appetizers, pizzas, sandwiches, dips and desserts and specials every week.Various bands play on the weekends and events are held year round such as summer car/motorcycle cruise ins. Autumn brings clam bakes and the Sleepy Hollow Headless Horseman visit near Halloween. Abraham Lincoln joins us each February for questions and a discussion of events of his time.So come as guests, leave as friends and take a sip back in time.Greene Eagle wines include Tranquility, a pear and kiwi wine that flows like nectar from heaven, Emberglow, a strawberry-rhubarb wine with an intense flavor and slightly dry finish; Midnight Embers, a tantalizing Strawberry Chocolate wine; BlackJack, a blackberry cabernet offered in both sweet and dry varieties; Twilight, a blueberry-flavored Shiraz red wine; Misty Dawn, a golden white wine made from Gewurztraminer grapes; Whispering Breeze, a light-bodied, white Riesling; Purple Rain, an elderberry wine; Velvet sky, a dry Pinot Noir; and Fireside, a dry Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend rich in antioxidants.
