Business description

Full service banking institution offering high interest checking, mortgages, loans and much more.

Gulf Coast bank started in 1990 during one of the worst years in banking history. The prior year, 534 banks failed and in 1990, a total of 382 banks failed. Louisiana was in the grip of a deep recession with declining property values and high unemployment. In that tough year we started a new bank and purchased four failed intuitions. From that group we put together a branch network, a deposit base and a team of dedicated bankers. On our first day of operation we had thirteen employees and 30 million in assets. Today we have over 1 billon dollars in assets and over 350 employees. Our philosophy remains the same; we do the right thing for our customers. We help them to make good investments and we make sure that they are using the banking services that fit their needs.
