These were followed by a research fellowship as a clinical instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham before he settled into private practice as a cosmetic surgeon.Dr. Beam has the distinction of being certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery as well as being recognized as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
