Patrick Hefferan M.ED.,LPC,NCCPatrick completed his undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University in 1994 and obtained his master’s degree from North CarolinaStateUniversity in 2007. Patrick earned his North Carolina State License to practice counseling in the fall of 2008. He holds an additional title as a nationally certified therapist. Patrick’s biggest strength is in forming and nurturing relationships. It is within the context of a healthy relationship that emotional and mental healing occurs. His clients consider him to be an empathic listener, a keen observer, and a calming presence. Patrick combines diverse resources and therapeutic tools in working with clients with ADD, depression, anxiety, and internet/gaming addiction. He works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a private outpatient setting. Patrick’s primary focus and training includes cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, parenting skills, guided imagery, and communication skills building. Patrick’s hobbies include volleyball, video games, football, and spending quality time with his wife and son.
