Higher Ground Learning traces its beginnings to 1996. Initially conceived to help students balance academics with fine arts, Higher Ground soon became an environment where students who were struggling-or who simply wanted a supplement to their school courses- could develop a one-on-one relationship with a high-caliber tutor or mentor. With a core staff of four educators, Higher Ground served ten to twenty students a month. One and a half years later, Higher Ground Learning's space could no longer accommodate its growing clientele. In response, Higher Ground moved to it's second location- the Carpenter Building in Salt Lake City's Gateway Design District. Now we have settled into our new space, located on the West end of historic Pierpont Avenue.
