Hilscher Design Ecology

As a Landscape Architect and Native Plant Ecologist, Diane designs and guides construction for residential, business, and public projects.

Diane Hilscher has been honing her skills in ecological landscape design and construction project management for over 25 years. She earned degrees in Landscape Architecture and Natural Resources from the UW-Madison, graduating with Honors. After working for the National Park Service and Forest Service in college and seven years in LA firms, In 1991 Diane began Hilscher Design and Ecology. Her focus is integrating natural systems into uniquely beautiful, functional designs. Her interests include public education on native plants and ecological landscaping, serving as President of the active St. Croix Oak Savanna chapter of Wild Ones: Native Plants, Natural Landscapes for the past five years. She enjoys gardening and restoration on three acres of oak savanna near Stillwater, Minnesota.
