Amira completed her undergraduate studies in Spanish Literature and Language in her native country, Mexico (Tecnológico de Monterrey), and Master's Degree in Contemporary Latin American literature in Canada (University of Calgary). She earned her Ph.D. in Spanish Language and Literature in 2010 at the University of Houston. She is passionate about teaching language and culture, and has taught Spanish for different levels since 2001 in Mexico, Canada, and the United States. She would like to keep on teaching Spanish, Literature, and Translation in the coming years.
