The Mountain Enterprise is the Mountain Communities' only newspaper. Established in 1966.

The Mountain Enterprise was established in 1966 with the first editions produced with a Royal typewriter. Today, the tools are more sophisticated and include Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and a Color King web press. Our coverage area includes the Grapevine communities of Lebec, Frazier Park, Gorman, Lake of the Woods, Pine Mountain, Lockwood Valley, the Cuyama Valley and West Antelope Valley---about 800 square miles. Within our coverage area are Tejon Ranch (the largest undeveloped property in California), Los Padres National Forest-Mt. Pinos Ranger District, Mt. Pinos Recreation area for cross-country skiing and off-road vehicle sports, camping, hiking, hunting and much more. The area offers restaurants, hotels, bed & breakfast accommodations and numerous spring and summer festivals.
