Business description

Contemporary fine art gallery specializing in painting, sculpture, photography, installation by renown artists.

The Experience in New York, "I'll get you something from the back," translates to "I've saved the good stuff for you." At Howard House, the concept rings true. Nestled behind the mid-century furniture store Mission to Modern, this space has got the goods. Opened in March 1997, after a trial stint in owner Billy Howard's home, the gallery represents some of Seattle's most avant-garde painters and sculptors, along with digital, media and installation artists. Howard House also includes the estate of renowned clay and print artist Robert Sperry. Though new to gallery ownership, Howard's no novice, having racked up an M.F.A., four years at the William Traver Gallery and a host of digital art skills. If you don't "get" his gallery's edgy art, just ask: He's an articulate interpreter
