Dedicated to offering knowledge obtained through years of experience as VP Mfg for an internationally known company. Duties included all aspects of production from raw material purchase to packaging of finished product, cost and quality control. I handled all personell and union relations problems that could not be resolved at a lower level . When competition forced us to begin importing some of our products, I traveled regularly to India and Pakistan, selected suppliers and negotiated prices. Since sales varied from 40% of total during the first half of the year and 60% in the remainder, I cut costs and panic out of stock incidents by planning the full year's production and propotioning it equally throughout the year, thus reducing layoffs and costly overtime.
