Dr. McGuire is a licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in the treatment of anxiety, including panic attacks, fears, phobias, and depression

Having practiced in NYC for more than 30 years, and having suffered from an anxiety disorder herself, Dr. McGuire brings a wealth of understanding and experience to the therapeutic process. Therapy is active, goal-oriented and usually short term. Many of her patients have been dropouts from psychoanalytic therapy because it did not give them the tools needed to conquer their fears and move on. Patients report that she is understanding and caring. Happily married for more almost 40 years, she also brings a great deal of experience to couples counseling. Dr. McGuire does not accept any HMO insurance. Therapy is partially covered by "Freedom" or PPO insurance plans, after deductible is met.
