I purchased my childhood home when my mother died. Ketchco Inc was recommended to me by my hairdresser. What a disappointment in the work as well as the "add ons", ie $25 to cover my sauna with plastic to protect it from dust. After reviewing my itemized charges, I found several double charges which he said was an error on his secretary's part, and he subtracted those charges. He damaged my new roof when he tried to cover up replacement siding boards which he had unevenly cut. I had to call my roofer to fix it. Replaced cabinets in sun room and couldn't figure out how to get one door open, so he "stair-stepped the molding to allow entry to the cabinet. This is an eyesore that cannot be fixed because he measured the cabinets incorrectly and they would have to be "torn" out to be replaced. Less than one year after cabinets were installed, I found one cabinet has separated from the wall. I had a representative from a local custom cabinet company where he ordered my cabinets, and the representative said, "I have never seen anything like this work. I will make sure we never recommend Ketchco Inc. again".
Mr. Ketchie had his wife and son(10 years old) to help him paint the outside of the house and charged full amount for the work...well, only $10 per hour for his son's help, but full price for his wife's work. Only problem with this is, his wife is a Nurse and only helps him on her days off and Saturdays.
After several attempts to contact Mr. Ketchie, he refused to talk to me, I ended up speaking with his wife. She threatened to take a lien on my property if I did not pay in full...only problem, his work was not completed. She wanted to send an "associate" to see what needed to be done to complete the "job". Mr. Ketchie refused to talk to me or come back to inspect the work.
As you can tell, I am irate with my personal treatment from Ketchco Inc as well as the inferior workmanship performed by this slack company. I would never recommend this company to anyone and if you are reading this complaint(review) take heed...find another company with a better rating. Also, I contacted the BBB, which he touted as being a member, and as of today 4/15/2016 it appears he has withdrawn his membership. Thank you for reading this and "buyer beware" of KETCHCO INC.
