Channel 8 KLKN-TV is proud of our commitment to the community. We prove that commitment by sponsoring numerous local special events. In our first year, we created a partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Association to produce and air the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon. Some of our other partnerships include, American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association Walk, People's City Mission and the Capitol Humane Society, The American Red Cross and Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools. Channel 8 KLKN-TV also sponsors community events like Haymarket Heydays, Celebrate Lincoln, and Lincoln Arts Festival, among others.
