Students learn basic arithmetic starting with simple single digit addition through more advanced operations. With practice, students will be able to do complex math calculations in their heads faster than using a calculator. The main advantage in using an abacus is that the students memorize the image of the abacus in their mind, and can perform calculations without any tools.
