Kris A. LaGuire has praciticed law for 21 years in Hilo, Hawaii and has represented a wide array of clients before all Hawaii State and Federal courts, as well as the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The primary focus of his practice is in the personal injury, product defect, and insurance claim area, including insurance bad faith and unfair dealing. He has successfully prevailed on behalf of many injured clients against numerous insurance carriers and product manufacturers, both in court trials and in hundreds of arbitration and mediation proceedings. He was part of a trial team that secured a $23.8 million verdict against the DuPont chemical company and has litigated and ultimately settled complex fraud and bad faith cases before the Honolulu Federal Court.
