Massage therapy services including relaxation, deep tissue and neuromuscular therapy

earned her Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences and Clinical Massotherapy at the National Institute of Massotherapy in Akron Ohio and is licensed under the Ohio State Medical Board. Laurie’s strong desire to help people, especially those that experience pain, emotionally as well as physically has become her passion in life. She had previously worked in the healthcare field in geriatrics as a nurse's assistant. Later as an adult, Laurie became interested in holistic alternative therapies. Laurie believes that there is a strong connection to the mind, body and spirit and that our spiritual health also affects our physical and emotional well being. She studied and practiced the art of meditation as well as other healing modalities including Reiki and Therapeutic Touch. She became a Reiki Master/Teacher in November of 2008. With her degree, Laurie incorporates the physiological benefits of massage that she has learned, into her own practice. She is considered to be a strong advocate in the power of touch and it's healing qualities. Laurie emphatically believes that the lack of touch for another human being is partially responsible for many of the physical and mental diseases we see in our society today. Her passion for her work and attention to detail speaks volumes for itself. Many of her clients report that her massage techniques have not only helped with their physical ailments, but their emotional well being as well. Laurie will tailor your sessions that are specific only to you, giving you a more unique and individualized personal treatment plan, for more profound results.
