LINBIT creates High Availability Linux software. DRBD replicates block data synchronously to ensure business continuity, even during server failure.

DRBD was created in 1999 as a graduate school project to prevent downtime during hardware failures. Since then it has been accepted to the mainline Linux Kernel. It is now the defacto Linux data replication tool used to prevent organizational downtime. As the developers of DRBD, LINBIT has also created a long-distance Disaster Recovery replication tool called DRBD Proxy. DRBD Proxy ensures that there is minimal downtime, even if an entire site is compromised. LINBIT also maintains the code for Heartbeat, and contributes heavily to the Pacemaker CRM software. Because of this, We have unparalleled expertise when it comes to data replication.
