Wrong Conclusion

This morning’s editorial by Jason Hayes concerning the Michigan’s governor was way off the mark. I lived on the strait of Mackinac for many years and was a park ranger at Wilderness State park which is on the Strait. An oil leak from the Embridge line would devastate the area which connects Lake Michigan and Lake Huron that together makes the largest freshwater body in the world. Ships traveling from one lake to the other cannot avoid going through there. They would continue to stir up any spilled oil.

Witmer closed various institutions when no one knew how to handle Covid. Many governors did the same. Those two actions would save lives and the environment.

I would think the Mackinac Center would be in favor of those goals!
