We hired Mr. Wester and Marquette Title to provide title insurance for the purchase of our property. When having a survey done defects were discovered our property description, defects that Marquette Title was hired to find and clear. Evidently, nothing had been done and the surveyor was never able verify the property lines as stated on the title. Our title was not clear of defects.

Instead of taking responsibility and correcting the problem we paid to avoid, Mr. Wester attempted to play victim yelling at my wife and myself when we asked about the defects. We assured him that we only wanted clear title. He remained aggressively dismissive. Therefore we called the underwriter of Marquette Title (Old Republic Insurance Group) who did take responsibility for the error.

After two and a half years, our neighbor spending thousands to hire a lawyer and much of our own time and money, the issue was resolved. None of this enormous waste of time, money and effort would have been a problem had Chad Wester of Marquette Title done his job in the first place.

I urge you not to support these business practices.
