Mays Sandwich Shop was started by the late Denton Mays in February 1947. The Shop originated in a small shed on Spring Street in West Lawn, PA. It eventually moved to a basement in an adjacent home belonging to the Mays family. In the mid-1980s the Shop was relocated to it's current location at 2525 Penn Avenue in West Lawn by the current owner, Bill Mays, Denton's youngest son.Not only does the Shop operate a retail sandwich/food business but they are also the fresh food commissary for Goodman Vending Company in Reading, PA.
