The Trade Adjustment Assistance for Firms (TAAF) is a federal program that provides grant funding and technical assistance to American manufacturers to strengthen competitive abilities focusing on increased profits, jobs creation and long-term financial stability. TAAF funding offers a 50/50 cost sharing of projects (up to $150K) focused on improving a company's competitive position. Grant funds can be used for projects that improve internal operations such as: Production, Engineering, Quality, Marketing, Management and Information Technology. To be eligible for grant funding a company must have experienced sales and employment declines of 5% or more over a "look-back" period.
