Business description

Premium Ice Cream and Handmade Candies.

Mitchell’s Ice Cream and Candies was established in 1931 in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago on 71st Street. In the early 70’s Mitchell’s moved to the southern suburbs, relocating to Homewood on the famous Dixie Highway.Mitchell’s was created on the foundation that homemade high quality products were what loyal followers wanted and so with that Mitchell’s made sure to use only the finest and freshest ingredients available. The owner, being a true Chicagoan, purchased all of his ingredients locally from some of the finest companies still around today.Today Mitchell’s has expanded the “little shop that could” into a wide distributor for specialty shops, hotels, restaurants, and gourmet grocers. All of Mitchell’s ice cream is made with 18% butter fat which gives the ice cream a deliciously rich, creamy flavor and full bodied consistency. All of our ice creams and sherberts are packed in a variety of sizes to suit your business needs. Check out all of Mitchell’s homemade products. You’ll be glad you did.
