MoveTran, LLC provides Toll Processing (Slitting of cold roll products) and outsourced integrated logistics (transloading) services for our client's

With the closing of Sparrows Point, Heidtman Steel on Grays Road decided to close the Pickling and Slitting operation here in Baltimore. MoveTran has decided to purchase the Heidtman facility and become a two prong business. One was using this great facility as a Logistics Transloader/Warehouse/Distribution center and the other was to keep "Heidtman's" experienced staff and keep the “Toll Processing” Slitting Operation going.Presently we are slitting for a number of customers who are purchasing their steel from various mills, both domestically and internationally. Since we are serviced by both the NS [Norfolk Southern] and CSX, rail cars are not an issue in moving their product directly from the Mill to our facility.
