Business description

The Musicians Club of New York promotes classical music in New York by sponsoring of free concerts, as well as classical music competitions.

The Musicians Club of New York was organized in 1911 by legendary conductor Walter Damrosch, singers from the Metropolitan Opera, impresarios, composers and musicians from New York and New Jersey, as well as prominent bankers and professionals. Over one hundred years later, the Musicians Club of New York continues to play a vital role in the musical life of New York City, providing a stimulating musical and social environment for its members and the general public. In addition to its concert series from October through April, the Club organizes and funds competitions named for the legendary conductor of the Boston Symphony, Serge Koussevitzky and his wife Olga, who provided both leadership and seed money.
