We began in 2002 with an adorable, magical design/furniture/home decor/gift store we named Cottage Chic Home Furnishings, etc. It was loved and frequented by women(and men) from all over the state and other states across the country like Florida, California, Texas and Illinois. After struggling with a bad economy for as long as we were able, we closed down our retail operations and continued to offer design services under a new name. My Retreat Design provides expert decorating and design services for any style or budget, residential or commercial. We source quality furniture, area rugs, custom window treatments and textiles, framed art and decor, lighting, etc. We also work with existing furnishings or your preferred local retailers and suppliers. Our fees are by retainer or by the hour. We take pride in creating high-end looks and comfort at the lowest final cost possible. Our custom furniture division, Cottage Chic Creations, provides unique furniture and accent pieces to your specifi- cations or our original designs, at prices that compare to imported cookie-cutter products. We specialize in cottage style, but can design and build any style, size, color to meet your needs. Our designer is also expert in merchandising and display for furniture, home decor and gift stores.
