NCP Corp. (Nosocomial Containment Products, Inc.) was formed to promote a very simple yet very effective product to help reduce infections.
The Infection Prevention Pouch (IPP) is an microbiostatic breathable pouch that provides a protective holding space for nasal cannulas and HHNs when not in use. The IPP self-adheres to oxygen concentrators, hospital beds, bedside tables and wheelchairs. When the oxygen tubing and mouthpiece for HHNs are not in use, they are to be placed into the Infection Prevention Pouch to reduce the potential for cross-contamination. The IPP is easy to apply and remove, leaving no residue behind. It is to be changed monthly per patient or PRN and has a space to date and initial for documentation purposes.
