Having personally overcome several threatening health issues, including disordered eating, diabetes, heart disease and weight loss, I acquired a formal wellness specialty in those specific and increasingly more common areas of health challenges. In addition to successfully confronting my own serious health issues I recognized the increasingly significant population of similarly afflicted people. I studied and was certified in Nutrition and Health Coaching at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York. While there I learned about 100's of dietary theories.Understanding the need for exercise, especially as we age, I am also currently enrolled in a Certification Program at the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) to become a Personal Trainer.
