Parker's Self Defense

Since 1985, Parkers Self-Defense Studios has been providing instruction in Kung Fu and the martial arts in the Clayton, NC area.

Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Kung Fu and other martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors. Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students. DR. JAMES PARKER (10TH DEGREE BLACK BELT) Grandmaster James Parker began his martial arts career in 1966 studying under the great Shum Fei Che. After serving in the U.S. NAVY Master Parker trained under Grandmaster Teh Kuang Ming and other notable masters from around the world. He opened the first Parkers Self-Defense Studio in 1985. Grandmaster Parker earned his 10TH degree Black Belt in April 1999
