The Petya I. Edwards Foundation is intent on providing a different type of assistance to Texas families and children in need. We not only look to provide short term care, we want to instill long term solutions in our clients on a case-by-case basis. Understanding that every situation is unique, the staff at the Petya I. Edwards Foundation develops an individualized plan of care that our family participants will work to follow. Depending on the needs of the family or child, a plan may be developed that meets either a 3 month goal, a 6 month goal, or in other cases, a varied timeline.At the Petya I. Edwards Foundation we will look to identify the objectives and needs of both parents and children, realizing that these can be very different based on family situations. Our program is designed to be comprehensive, delivering education and support to parents in order to assist in getting them "back on their feet," while also providing the family with childcare, material goods, housing and other services.The goal of the Petya I. Edwards Foundation program is two-fold; to provide immediate help and basic needs that every person needs to survive, while also giving the guidance, counseling and building blocks to move a family or child from poverty, homelessness, or other challenges into a more positive future.
