PGR Gems specializes in one-of-a-kind custom designed jewelry. Award winning designer, Randy Dixon, uses computer aided design (CAD) software to create designs to client's specifications. A master wax of the design is created using our in-house prototyping machinery. We create the final piece in karat gold or platinum. We also offer "semi-custom," which is what most jewelers call custom :) We mount the gem into one of our huge selection of commercial mountings. Cheri Dixon is a Gemologist and specializes in jewelry appraisal. PGR has been a long-time dealer in fine natural colored gemstones and diamonds. Our claim of the largest retail selection of gemstones in Virginia has gone unchallenged for several decades. PGR is a second generation firm, established in 1972 by Randy's parents
