Happy Dave began his career at Tatu Tattoo in Chicago, learning his trade under a master piercer. He received professional training at the Gauntlet training facility in San Francisco and continues to return to his mentor for continuing education. He is an advocate for safer piercing, holding seminars for the Chicago Recovery Alliance, The School of the Art Institute and for Performance Artists. Based at Ink Spot Tattoo in Melrose Park, IL., Happy Dave applies his knowledge and dedication to safe body piercing to a varied range of clients, from entertainers such as Kill Hannah to upscale urban professionals.
