Business description

Overhead bridge crane manufacturer, full structural shop, professional engineer on staff, turnkey installation

Established in 1968, Platnick has engineered and built hundreds of overhead bridge cranes which are installed throughout the country and even internationally. Platnick is an R&M Master Distributor and we specialize in complex applications which require custom engineering. We can perform complete structural analysis on buildings. Our Bluefield, VA facility if fully equipped with fabrication machinery so we do not have to subcontract any portion of a crane system. Everything is made right here. We go the extra mile on our cranes and runway systems. All designs are approved by an in house engineer. All steel is shot blasted and painted in our state of the art paint room so the quality of the finish is second-to-none. Our CNC beamline system is extremely accurate and fast.
