Family owned and operated local swimming pool company. Owner and builder Alan Chavers was born and raised in Fairhope Alabama and has resided in Baldwin County all but four and half years of his life. He began learning to build pools when he was around 13 years old, working in the summer for a contractor and building pools is what he has done for the majority of his adult life. In 2001, Alan became licensed by the State of Alabama General Contractors Board as a Specialty Trade Contractor in the field of Swimming Pool Construction. This was the beginning of Practical Pools & Ponds LLC. About 8 years ago, his wife Lori, joined him in his work. And not long after, daughter Kim became a full time part of the company. Through the years, almost all the kids and their spouses have been a big part of the business. In addition to BUILDING SWIMMING POOLS, we also provide CLEANING SERVICE FOR SWIMMING POOLS AND SPAS and have services to fit most budgets and needs. Other services include LINER REPLACEMENTS, EQUIPMENT REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS, POOL SURFACE REFINISHING, and OTHER POOL RELATED SERVICES. In April 2013, we opened a RETAIL STORE offering SWIMMING POOL AND HOT TUB CHEMICALS, PARTS, AUTOMATIC POOL CLEANERS, ALTERNATIVE SANITIZERS, AND MORE. We also perform WATER TESTING. We live and work in the same community that our customers do and while building swimming pools is our business, building long term working relationships is our goal.
