Ranch & Coast was first established in 1983 by George Brooks as an exclusive Rancho Santa Fe community publication, catering to the needs of one of the most affluent zip codes in the United States. In 1995, Bob and Collette Stefanko, the magazine's current publishers, came on board to lend their design and production expertise, and just three years later, in 1998, they purchased Ranch & Coast magazine. Since then, the publication's reach and coverage have expanded to add other areas of affluence including South Carlsbad, Olivenhain, Del Mar, Solana Beach, Carmel Valley, Santaluz, and La Jolla - all in addition to the most complete saturation of Rancho Santa Fe available.
