In the summer of 2005, Paul Hetrick and Carl Chew came up with the idea of extending play for young women beyond the age of 18 who still wished to play softball but were beyond the age qualification for the VIGS program. In the fall of 2005, we started the U24 softball league, which initially started with four teams from Quakertown, Allentown, Lansdale and South Montgomery. The teams played double-header games on Sunday afternoons starting in June and finishing the first week of August. In 2006, RASA opened up Veterans Park, which required a considerable amount of time and effort from Paul Hetrick, requiring Carl Chew to take over responsibility for organizing and running the league.
