Royal Oak Community Coalition

A 501c3 grass roots organization that focuses on the prevention of substance abuse by working with community agencies, youth groups& concerned citizen

The Coalition has a partnership base of 119 organizations, collaborating on preventing substance abuse by strengthening and sustaining a safe and healthy community, together. Our function is to provide opportunity, direction and technical assistance to achieve a positive, drug free environment for families, schools and businesses. We initiate strategies that increase community knowledge, awareness and education, on 1) protective factors that decrease illegal use of alcohol, drugs and tobacco 2) seek to change identified environmental conditions that increase risk factors that lead to easy access and use 3) build sector capacity to increase outreach and to sustain prevention efforts. Our vision is to create a community based consortium of other non-profits that can support each other.
